Doggy Dayschool Supervisor

Job Description

You will be responsible for the safety and supervision of the dogs in our care at all times during off-leash play and the timely clean-up/disposal of urine, feces, and vomit that occur throughout the day. Primary responsibilities include monitoring and interrupting inappropriate behavior as well as teaching/reinforcing basic training cues.

Other essential functions of this job include:

- Engaging each dog in play or enrichment throughout the day
- Maintaining daily groups and play schedules
- Proper use of facility equipment, including sanitation and pet training protocols
- Understanding and reinforcing appropriate body language and play behavior
- Cleaning of the facility including vacuuming, moping, dusting, sanitizing, and re-stocking
- Communicating health and activities of dogs with their owners including completion of periodic behavior assessments and reports

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, creative, and capable of multi-tasking and problem solving.

Experience with dogs in a professional setting (veterinary, grooming, daycare, boarding, shelter) is preferred. You must have excellent organization and communication skills. You must be comfortable and confident working directly with dogs, including dealing with excessive hair, drool, feces, vomit, barking, and being jumped on. You must also be able to lift 50lbs and be on your feet for several hours.

Evening Cleaner

Job Description

You will be responsible for the regular and proper sanitation of the facility, with focus on disinfection of all daycare equipment and surfaces in preparation for the next day’s training or play groups.

Other essential functions of this job include:

- Daily emptying of all refuse and recycle bins, including pet waste containers
- Proper use and maintenance of sanitation equipment and chemicals
- Performing scheduled deep-cleaning of facility rooms and equipment; including rugs, mop buckets, and pet waste containers
- Stocking and distribution of custodial products and chemicals
- Minor facility maintenance and product ordering

The ideal candidate is independent, reliable, detail-oriented, and task-driven.

You must have excellent organization and communication skills. You must be comfortable working alone in a large facility without direct supervision.

This is a part-time position most weekday evenings 7:00pm-8:30pm; possible Sunday hours. Wage starts at $11.10 an hour based on experience. Benefits include paid time off.

Job Description

You will be responsible for front end facility operations focused on customer service and the safe handling of pets while in our care. Primary responsibilities include answer phone calls, scheduling grooming appointments, and maintaining client files.

Other essential functions of this job include:

- Checking in clients for the variety of services we offer
- Checking out clients for services rendered, including money handling and rebooking grooming appointments or changes to daycare attendance schedules
- Maintain daily attendance rosters and prepaid service package use
- Familiarity with grooming services and ability to explain services to customers without groomer supervision
- Maintain sanitation of Self Wash Room and lobby appearance throughout the day

The ideal candidate is well-organized, detail-oriented, capable of multi-tasking and problem solving, and communicates effectively in a welcoming and friendly manner.

Experience with dogs in a professional setting (veterinary, grooming, daycare, boarding, shelter) is preferred but not required. You must be comfortable shifting priorities and managing time effectively during busy hours. You are the face of our business and should be passionate about offering educational and essential services to a variety of clients and pets in a sometimes fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a customer service specialist to join our team! We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people (and is very good at it!), has a knack for organization and details, can learn and operate our computer software, enjoys working with dogs and who will be a dependable member of our team.

This position is driven by GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Your primary responsibility will be the face of our business. You will be the first face and/or voice our clients see and hear; you will be making our first impression and we take that very seriously. You must be able to maintain an excellent level of customer service no matter what. If you don't enjoy working with the public - please don't apply! You will have daily interaction with our clients and their pets.

Applicants MUST be responsible, on-time, have an eye for detail, love dogs, love people, have your own transportation (the bus schedule at our location will not get you here on time) and have top notch communication skills. Applicants must be able to effectively communicate, follow directions, and show a respectful, personable attitude that reflects well upon the company. You must be able to work independently and stay focused even when not directly supervised.

Essential functions of the job include:

-Running all of the front desk operations; greeting clients, client check in/out, answering phone and e-mail, client records and billing, inventory and ordering.

-Safely handling our four legged clients as you move them to and from grooming and daycare.

-Handling client issues and questions.

-Having a detailed knowledge of our business so that you can effectively communicate accurate information to the client.

-Educating our clients on proper care and maintenance of their dogs in a supportive and empathetic manner

-Handling of basic HR duties like submitting payroll and handling staff schedule

-Marketing and social media skills a bonus

Applicant will work 25-35 hours a week, Tuesday through Saturday, 10am-4pm
